Continuous on-line reproducibility of 5 ppt which enhances our ultra-high measuring range of silica trace levels in ultra-pure water

IXA25431150-AMI-Silitrace_Ultra_Low.jpg

Hinwil, Switzerland 17-08-2016 – SWAN’s AMI Silitrace Ultra is a unique product solution that embodies continuous reproducibility with ultra-high accuracy in the on-line monitoring of silica concentration in ultra-pure water (UPW), to ensure the integrity of product quality.

Features:

  • Measuring range: 5 ppt (0,005 ppb) to 25 ppb
  • Reproducibility: ± 0.005 ppb or ± 5%
  • Continuous and automatic monitoring of main instrument functions such as: sample flow, reagent supply and process integrity
  • UPW concentrator (patented “Carrcentrator” or Reversed Osmosis System created by SWAN AG in partnership with Intel Corporation)

The AMI Silitrace Ultra is the only product of its kind, capable of combining a measuring range of 0.005 ppb - 25 ppb, previously only obtainable through sample testing in analytical laboratories, with an on-line and continuous reproducibility of ± 5 ppt. Knowing true contaminant levels at all times is crucial for gap free data accumulation and valuable (future) trend analyses.
This is due to the fact that the AMI Silitrace Ultra uses the UPW concentrator technique; an evidence based method that enhances our powerful on-line silica analyzer to continuously monitor real silica levels in UPW up to 40 times more accurate. This technique uses the innovative UPW concentrator (Carrcentrator), which was created by SWAN AG in partnership with and patented by Intel Corporation.

Greetings from the team at SWAN ANALYTICAL USA

SWAN Analytical USA is a leading manufacturer of high quality on-line analytical instruments for water analysis in applications such as high purtiy water, steam, condensate, cooling water, potable water and effluent. SWAN instruments measure a number of parameters within these applications such as turbidity, chlorine, sodium, dissolved oxygen, pH, ORP and others. Built with Swiss precision, SWAN's reliable analyzers are designed with the operator in mind.

New SWAN Distribution Quality Monitors – Multiple Parameters; One Simple Panel

Dist1.jpg
The SWAN DIST series Distribution Quality Monitor line offers three options for measuring chlorine, pH, conductivity and turbidity on one easy to install, easy to maintain panel. Versatile output options ensure water quality throughout your distribution system, proving piece of mind and customer satisfaction.

Three models are available for continuous monitoring of critical parameters for early warning at wells, pump stations and throughout the distribution system.
  • SWAN Dist 1 features reagentless free chlorine measurement.
  • SWAN Dist 2 provides colorimetric, DPD based free chlorine measurement.
  • SWAN Dist 3 provides colorimetric, DPD based free and total chlorine measurement.
All three include pH and conductivity sensors in an easily accessible and easy to service flow cell. They also feature SWAN's non-contact Turbiwell turbidity monitoring.

Complete system comes pre-mounted on panel, ready for operation. Simple 4-20 outputs for each parameter used with SCADA provide an in depth record of water quality. Built in surveillance functions generate alarms if measurement is not valid, such as missing flow, empty reagents, valve and photometer functionality.

Product News (December 2015)

Our most established member of our Silica Family is AMI Silica, which was introduced in 2011 and remains the ideal instrument for boiler water and steam application for values higher than 1,0ppb.

Our Silica family has been complemented with two new analysers, AMI Silitrace and AMI Silitrace Ultra. AMI Silitrace, one of the newest members, is suggested to be used in low temperature applications as the reaction chamber is temperature controlled, which leads to reliable measurements under these conditions. In comparison to the AMI Silica we were able to enhance the measuring range from 0,5ppb to 1'000ppb.

AMI Silitrace Ultra
, the other new member, is our on-line monitor for reactive silica in the lowest range. Our AMI Silitrace Ultra is the only instrument on the market, which is able to measure ultra-low silica concentration levels to fulfil the strict limits of the new guideline of the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (0,005ppb to 25ppb).
